The truths of scripture are hidden from unbelievers. Unbelievers can see that the grace of God helps Christians with their lives.
They however cannot get that help themselves, because God requires people to humble themselves before Him in order to recieve His grace.
Failing to access God’s grace, they seek to establish their own concepts of right and wrong. Unbelievers are not aware that they lack God’s help. Sometimes they can convince themselves that they are right with God when they are really not. They desire God’s help but not on his terms.
The creation of fantastical theologies is the result of rejecting God’s righteousness and not agreeing with Him and His assertions of what is right behavior.
The pattern of God’s behavior towards His enemies is found in Ezekiel 38 and 39. These chapters illustrate that He brings His enemies against sinful Christians in order to correct their behavior , and to convert and “save” some of the unbelievers/enemies.
