6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
The Sons of God people led by the Holy Spirit) were taking wives who were not led by the Holy Spirit and the Earth is said to be wicked/corrupt except for Noah.
Ge 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Noah walked with God but the rest of the people on the Earth were corrupt.
God waited until the Ark was made before flooding the Earth.
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Instead of using a flood to destroy the corrupt God now uses “fire”.
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

There were giants before the Nephilim, Amorites from Amos 2:9 are said to be decendants of Canaan Hams son, from Gen 10:16.
Nephilim were predecessors to anakites as is shown in Num 13:33.

Genesis 5:3 states that Adam bore Children in His “fallen” likeness, however, Enoch was not found in that “likeness”.

Ge 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not (In Adams likeness); for God took him.
Enoch could no longer be referred to as “Generated by Adam” after the age of 65.
Although Enoch lived 365 years He was “translated” or “Taken” by God at 65.
He began to walk with God at the age of 65 after Methuselah’s birth.
Ge 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God “took” him.
The New Testament would use the term “Born Again” to describe the point in a person’s life when they begin to be led by God’s Spirit, Rm 8:14.
In Gen 5, the same point in Enoch’s life was described as “being Translated”.
Enoch was delivered out of the power of darkness, as Col 1:13 phrases the concept.
New Covenant believers are described as having been “translated” in Col 1:13 using a synonym of the Greek word that the author of Hebrews used to describe Enoch”s translation in Heb 11:5.
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated (Strong’s 3179 – methistemi ) us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated (Strong’s 3446 – metatithemi) that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Enoch “walked in the Spirit” for 300 years and could be called a “Son of God” according to Romans 8:14.
Ro 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (KJV)
As a “Son of God” Enoch was included in the group of Old Testament people who had faith, Heb 11.
According to Genesis 6 people who “were led by God’s Spirit” existed in those days, and some of them had Children with women who were “not led by the Spirit”.

These Children appear to be referred to as “Nephilim or mighty Men of renown”.
Gen 6:4 also suggests that these Children existed “After” those days. Some people feel that this means after Noah’s flood.
When a Believer marries an Unbeliever and their child rejects “faith” can that Child be described using the Old Testament term “Nephilim” or “Feller”?
The literal definition of Strong’s # 5303 Nephilim is “Feller” or “One who causes (others) to fall.
Could the word “Nephilim” be used “today” to identify the “Unregenerate” group of people who are born to families where one parent has been translated or “Born again” and one parent is not “Born Again”?
